JUDGEMENT

- (1.) The order of rejection passed by the first respondent in proceedings dated 17.05.2017 in relation to the claim of the writ petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Manager (Plantation), is under challenge in the present writ petition.
(2.) The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner was directly appointed as Assistant Field Conductor and thereafter, he was posted as Field Conductor. He further states that in respect of similar employees, the rule relating to the educational qualification was relaxed. When the benefit of relaxation was granted to many other similarly placed candidates, the same benefit is to be extended to the writ petitioner by relaxing the educational qualification degree which is prescribed under the service rules for promotion to the post of Assistant Manager (Plantation).
(3.) In view of the fact that such a relaxation was rejected, the writ petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition.;
