(1.) The matter is heard through "Video-conferencing".
This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal has been filed challenging the order of dismissal dated 27.09.2011 made in M.C.O.P.No.219 of 2006 on the file of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Sub Court, Tirupathur, Vellore District.
(2.) The appellant is the claimant in M.C.O.P.No.219 of 2006 on the file of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Sub Court, Tirupathur, Vellore District. He filed the said claim petition claiming a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as compensation for the injuries sustained by him in the accident that took place on 22.10.2005.

According to the appellant, on the date of accident i.e., on 22.10.2005 at about 5.00 p.m., one Naveenkumar rode the motorcycle belonging to the 1st respondent, along with the appellant as a pillion rider from Ambur to Vellore, in a rash and negligent manner, dashed against the TATA chassis lorry, which was coming in the opposite direction and caused the accident. Due to the accident, the appellant sustained grievous injuries all over the body and hence, the appellant filed the above said claim petition claiming compensation against the respondents.;
