JUDGEMENT

(1.) PETITIONERS have filed this original petition challenging the order dated 13.4.2012 of the Kerala Administrative Tribunal, Trivandrum in O.A.639 of 2012.

(2.) PETITIONERS are persons who are included in the rank list prepared by the Kerala Public Service Commission for appointment to the post of Police Constable in the Kerala Armed Police-II Battalion in Thrissur and Palakkad Districts. The petitioners are included in the supplementary list for Muslim community. According to the counsel for the petitioners, a number of vacancies are available for being reported to the Kerala Public Service Commission. It is contended that 88 vacancies are available for being reported to the Kerala Public Service Commission. There are persons who have not been successful in the physical test which was conducted. Others have been disqualified for the reason that criminal cases were pending against them. Therefore, according to the petitioners, all the said vacancies ought to have been reported to the Kerala Public Service Commission.
