JUDGEMENT

- (1.) THIS petition under Section 389 of Cr. P. C has been preferred by the appellant for suspension of sentence and grant of bail who was convicted by the trial court for gang rape under Sections 376 (2) (g) of IPC and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a term of ten years. The appellant has already undergone about 6 years and 6 months including the remission period.
(2.) CONSIDERING the fact that hearing of appeal may take sometime, the sentence of the appellant is suspended during pendency of this appeal on his executing personal bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of trial court concerned.
(3.) THE application stands disposed of.;
